Do i need a high output alternator?

Im getting a Kicker zx 1500.1 watt amp.. the guide recommends a 140+amp alternator but my impala stock is about 82-83ish i believe.. I dont want to do a second battery but would just a HO alternator work? such as http://www.jcwhitney.com/new-alternators/p2019136.jcwx?skuId=492044&filterid=d265y2001j5? it says up to 150 amps.. but would it burn out to fast working close to peak power so often?
