My car battery passed a load test but it still won't hold a charge?

my alternator is charging at 14.5v, I checked for voltage drain with a vom between the + post and cable set on 10amps, there is none. I have a new batt. ground cable and all connections are fine. Can I still have a bad battery( shorted cell ) and how do I check for it.
