Re UK public sector pensions? Where were the unions when the companies were ravaging private sector pensions?

We are living longer so the money you pay has to go up, and you have to work longer its simple maths. Why should the private sector pay for the short fall. If we do not stand up to the unions they will make us pay through the nose to keep the lazy public sector going.
