Consider this situation, what are your thoughts?

That's a hard one... I understand where both sides are coming from. On one hand you have to be able to take responsibility for your actions that help create the situation for the your missing ID, but at the same time, everyone makes mistakes and have moments of bad decisions, and it's usually not like they wanted their ID stollen.
