My partner called me a ***** (name for a female dog) ..... (again).?

He's done it in the heat of an argument three or four times in the past, but I just find it really unacceptable and have told him so. Last time it happened I told him to think very carefully the next time because it is something I dont think I should have to accept. Would you accept this ? My mother explained to me that she has been married 37 years to my father and has never been called a derogatory name like that once. Im sad and disappointed. Please share your thoughts ??
